Crossing the 405 for a Summer Get Away

June 3, 2011

Let’s say you are thinking about going on a trip for the summer. Let’s say you are thinking somewhere you have never been before that is affordable with city life, warm weather and good food. Let’s say you see a good deal on flights to Texas and Houston comes up. Let’s say I hit you upside your head before you even click on the dates you want to travel on. I mean it.

This must be one of the most miserable places to travel to in the summer. This is most definitely not one of the reasons you should cross the 405. Houston is in the 90s with soaking humidity. To top it off, they can’t even get Tex Mex right and that is just sad. Really, you aren’t convinced yet? Well don’t say I didn’t warn you. If you do go, at least visit a two steppin’ bar with a disco ball saddle. Then you can have one good picture from your trip.

Nice post- I’ll remember this when Carlos is begging me to take off for Houston. Another reason not to cross the 405- “carmageddon” It’s coming soon!
